A superb and highly desirable example of Allach porcelain, this is the rare white-glazed “Rohrender” (Roaring Stag), model number 20, produced by the SS on the edges of the Dachau concentration camp. Designed by the renowned porcelain artist Theodor Karner, this model is exceptionally rare; according to Dennis Potter’s reference work on Allach porcelain, only 76 pieces were produced in white between 1938–1939.
The figure stands 36.2 cm high, with a length of 40 cm measured from the mouth to the rear leg. The piece is marked “T Karner” with the SS runic press symbol and the model number “20” on the base. It is completely undamaged and unrestored, retaining full integrity.
Collectors should note the delicate nature of the antlers; we strongly advise collection in person from the UK, or for European buyers, we can arrange delivery at European fairs we attend. International purchasers would require professional porcelain shipping due to the fragility of the piece. This is an exceptional Allach figure with full provenance and museum-quality presence.
