German WWI Wurttemberg Regiment 122 Feldmutze

A rare, untouched example of a Wurttemberg feldmutze, part of a small quantity obtained several years ago alongside Prussian examples. Constructed in standard field grey with no moth damage, showing only a minor trace of moth tracking to the crown. Features a red centre band and red piping to the crown, complete with both the national and Wurttemberg State cockades. The interior is fully stamped with the Esslingen maker, size “54,” additional stamp “B.A.X111” (Army Corps 18), dated “1916,” and regimentally marked “F.R.122.”
