A very nice example of the rare Württemberg Infantry Regiments No. 119 or 123. Constructed in all leather, the helmet has taken on a matte finish from long-term storage and retains firm, well-shaped front and rear peaks.

All fittings are in white metal, as is correct for these two regiments. It features a tall removable spike with silver domes at the base in place of stars—typical for an NCO or one-year volunteer—and a cut-out officer’s crown.

The original leather front strap is present, fitted with a national officer’s cockade and a Württemberg-style enlisted ranks cockade with a non-serrated edge. Inside, the helmet has an officer-style scalloped edge sweatband in medium tan leather, paired with a dark brown cloth liner. The interior is pencil-marked to size ‘55½’.

A very fine and hard-to-find NCO example from one of Württemberg’s elite regiments.
