GERMAN WWI WURTTEMBERG INFANTRY NCO PICKELHAUBE

A lovely helmet of the rare Wurttemberg Regiments No 119 or 123. All leather pickelhaube, which has gone to a matt finish through storage, with secure front and back peaks. All of the fittings in white metal, as is standard for Regiments 119 or 123. Tall removable spike, silver domes to the spike base instead of stars for an NCO or 1-year volunteer. Cut out the officer's crown. Original front strap with the standard form of a national officers' cockade and the Wurttemberg style non-serrated edge enlisted ranks cockade. Officers' style scalloped edge medium tan leather sweatband with dark brown interior liner. Pencil size ‘55½’ to the interior. A very nice helmet for rare regiments.
