GERMAN WWI UNUSUAL FIGHTING DISPLAY PIECE

A scarce variant of the WWI German trench knife having a 15cm blade marked ‘1914 Feldzug 1915’. Some slight evidence of sharpening, but generally good, with its wood ribbed grip. The overall length of the knife is 26.5cm, which is longer than the standard length of a fighting knife. Fitted into its black painted scabbard with go,od strong leather belt loop and hilt retaining strap with its male/female closing stud present and working correctly. Good paint finish remaining, although slight bubbling from underlying rust.
