German WWI Unusual Display Piece

A scarce variant of the WWI German trench display piece, marked ‘1914 Feldzug 1915’. Some slight evidence of sharpening, but generally in good condition. Features a ribbed wood grip and an overall length of 26.5cm, longer than the standard issue examples. Fitted into its black painted scabbard with good strong leather belt loop and hilt retaining strap, complete with male/female closing stud functioning correctly. The scabbard retains much of its original paint finish, with minor bubbling from underlying rust.
