German WWI Trench Armour

A well-preserved example of WWI trench armour, possibly one of the smallest sizes, featuring four matching plates. The armour shows some surface rust consistent with age. It retains its original felt padding and canvas straps, with evidence of careful re-stitching during its history. To prevent further damage, a wire has been threaded through from the top to the bottom plate to relieve stress on the original straps.
