A good leather pickelhaube, Saxon Weimar, from the 94th Infantry Regiment with its original carrying case. The skull is generally good with crazing overall, both peaks firmly attached to the main body, gilt matching overall with a huge degree of the original gilt remaining. The crown from the orb on the helmet plate is missing. The Saxon Weimar overlay plate, which fits over the Prussian style plate, has the unique word of ‘FUERST’ on the neck of the eagle instead of Koenig. The legend of Fuerst was only used on very few regiments. Complete with its national and its Saxon Weimar green and black officers' cockade. To the interior, the leather liner is showing some wear, but complete and undamaged with its original silk interior. Four kinks to the interior of the front peak trim. No extra plate fitting holes to the helmet, indicating this is the original plate for this helmet. The fitted case, which has its name strap missing and its carrying strap missing, with the printed paper label name of the Company ‘C.A.Westmann, Dresden’ to the interior.
