A well-preserved and completely untouched battlefield-recovered example of an enlisted man’s helmet from the King’s Saxon Regiments 9 and 10. The leather skull remains in excellent condition, with both front and rear peaks securely affixed, showing areas of natural congealing consistent with age and field exposure.

All brass fittings have developed a subdued tone over time. Retains its correct Saxon-style, non-serrated edge state and national cockades, along with the original leather chinstrap. The front peak trim exhibits typical period kinks. Inside, the nine-tongued leather liner remains complete, complete with its original drawstring.

Stamped to the rear interior peak within a rectangular block is 133.R.R, with an indistinct date below. Additional markings include references to Saxon Regiment 134 and Armee korps XIX, along with a clear size stamp of 57 positioned near the regimental markings.
