German WWI Saxon Infantry NCOs Pickelhaube

A very clean example of a Saxon infantry NCO Pickelhaube. The leather skull is free of crazing, with front and rear peaks securely attached, showing only light congealing. All brass fittings are matching and in good order.

The NCO-quality front plate retains most detail, though the top cross is missing. Fitted with an enlisted ranks chinstrap and both Saxon state and national cockades, the Saxon cockade being the non-serrated type. The interior leather liner is deep brown and in excellent condition, complemented by its intact blue silk inner lining.
