German WWI Saxon Enlisted Ranks Pickelhaube

A very fine large-size Saxon enlisted man’s all-leather pickelhaube in excellent condition. The skull displays light overall crazing consistent with age, with both front and rear peaks securely attached and original stitching intact. All brass fittings remain present, including the distinctive Saxon nickel and brass eight-pointed star front plate. Both the correct national and Saxon state cockades are in place, along with the original leather chinstrap.

The interior features its complete 10-tongued leather liner, with only minor stretching to the drawstring eyelets, none broken. A superb example of a scarce Saxon pickelhaube.
