German WWI Saxon Enlisted Ranks Pickelhaube

A charming all-leather pickelhaube belonging to an enlisted man of Saxon Regiment No. 103. Featuring all original brass fittings and the distinctive smooth-edged Saxon state and regiment cockades. The inner rear peak is clearly marked ‘Regiment 103.’ The skull shows light crazing, while all stitching on the front and rear peaks remains strong and intact.

The delicate internal leather lining has one tongue missing, but the original drawstring is still present. This helmet is fitted with its rare original 1895 model cover and is accompanied by a single epaulette from Saxon Regiment 103, making it a superb example for collectors of WWI German helmets.
