GERMAN WWI SAXON ENLISTED MANS PICKELHAUBE

A clean, all-leather bodied Saxon enlisted ranks helmet with all matching brass fittings. Some minor crazing to the front and rear peaks, but both peaks are securely stitched to the main body. The helmet is complete with its original chinstrap and both its national and state non-serrated edge Saxon-style cockades. On inverting the helmet, the internal liner is all present; there is a slight rodent nip to one side of the liner. The interior has excellent colour. To the rear, peak markings are  'II ERS.R.177.R'. (Saxon Regiment 177).
