German WWI Saxon Bugle

A scarce and highly desirable example of a World War I Saxon regimental bugle. Though showing signs of age and use, this piece retains great character. The top of the bugle bears the Saxon coat of arms, with a later-added nickel rim. Maker marked Leipzig and complete with its original multicoloured green and white cording with tassels, this is a fine representative example of an increasingly difficult-to-find item of Saxon field equipment.
