A very fine example of a high-form World War I Prussian officer’s visor cap, constructed in field grey wool with red piping to the crown and a matching red center band. The body of the cap shows only light moth tracking to the crown area but remains free from actual moth holes, presenting very well overall.
The cap retains its original twin cockades—national and Prussian state—as well as a standard fibre visor, all firmly attached and in excellent condition. The interior features a watered silk lining to the upper crown, and the sweatband is made from ersatz imitation leather in light tan, remaining fully intact and complete. The estimated head size is approximately 56.
Of particular note, the cap is housed in its original fitted transit case—an uncommon and desirable feature that significantly enhances its presentation and collector appeal.
A fine quality, well-preserved Prussian officer’s visor cap from the First World War, complete and untouched, with original case.
