An outstanding example of a Prussian 14th Hussars enlisted ranks field grey Attila, once part of the renowned Marshall Daut collection and illustrated on page 173 of Field Grey Uniforms & Imperial German Army 1907–1918. This is a textbook depot-issued Hussar tunic, crafted from heavy-duty field grey cloth with matching field grey lace, in superb condition with no moth damage. All original closure olives remain in place, along with the standard configuration of two lower angled pockets fitted with plain dome buttons.

The blue-and-white intertwined lace epaulettes carry the regimental number ‘14’, secured by Prussian buttons. One lower pocket contains a small plastic container holding two Company No. 2 buttons. Included is the original Marshall Daut collection label identifying this tunic as item No. 172.

The interior features one of the largest regimental markings recorded—at the top of the lining is the army corps marking ‘B.A.X.’ (Army Corps 10), size stampings, and a very large block ‘H.14’. This tunic comes from the historic dispersal of the Marshall Daut collection in the early 2000s, purchased directly from Phoenix, Arizona, and documented in the referenced book by Michael Baldwin and Malcolm Fisher. A truly superb, well-documented piece for the advanced Imperial German uniform collection.
