German WWI Prussian Guard Pickelhaube

A very good large-size leather skull in excellent condition, with no damage. The front and rear peaks are firmly attached to the main body. All fittings are brass and consistent in subdued colour, including the backstrap, unscrewable spike and base, large front guard plate, front trim, and strap fittings.

The helmet retains its white metal Prussian guard overlay plate and original leather chinstrap with brass buckles. The national cockade has lost the majority of its paint, while the Prussian black-and-white cockade remains in matching condition with more colour preserved.

Inside, the nine-tongued leather liner is complete, along with the original drawstring. An impressive, high-quality large-size enlisted ranks Prussian guard helmet.
