GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN FELT PICKELHAUBE

The Prussian felt pickelhaubes due to their lightweight construction can appear on the collectors market damaged and degraded, this is a superb strong skull, no damage, complete with its Prussian front plate, removable spike and circular spike base, back strap all matching in the chemically patinated finish, complete with its original brown leather chinstrap. The Prussian cockade in black and white retains virtually all its paint finish; the national cockade only has faint traces of its red remaining. To the interior, some of the tongues to the liner have broken away; the original drawstring is present.
