German WWI Prussian Belt Buckle with Profuse Guard Markings

A very fine and well-used example of a Prussian all-steel belt buckle retaining much of its original field grey-green finish, showing honest service wear with thinning to the upper and lower flat sections. Complete with its original leather tab, clearly stamped ‘Eugen Heinrich, Köln’. The reverse bears a rare and desirable Guard Depot marking ‘BAG’, along with a second identical maker’s stamp. A superbly marked and characterful example of a front-line used Guard issue buckle.
