German WWI M16 Camouflage Helmet

A very good example of a German M.16 steel combat helmet, featuring a rare and unusual small-block camouflage pattern applied without the typical black separation lines. The camouflage remains most vivid on the right side and front, with some natural wear and finish loss evident on the left side, consistent with age and use.

Stamped EF62, the helmet retains its original three-pad liner system, all intact with only minor tearing to some of the tongue tips. The inner pads are absent but have been thoughtfully filled with period cloth, maintaining the helmet’s original appearance. The chinstrap is still present and original, though extremely fragile—particularly between the two adjustment buckles, as well as in an additional section, and should be handled with care.
