A solid example of the Model 18 helmet, shell size faintly stamped but clearly ‘64’. The exterior retains areas of its original dark apple green paint with approximately 50% surface rust bleed. The interior features the complete steel M.18 liner band with its original three pads, each differing in colour—two mid-tan pads (one showing light burn damage) and one in M.17/18 cream leather. Close inspection confirms all pads are original to the helmet and not later replacements. The long section of the M.18 carbine-type chinstrap remains intact, while the short section has split, with one part still clipped to the long strap and the remainder attached to the buckle. Faint manufacturer stampings are visible on the leather strap.
