GERMAN WWI M.18 EAR CUT OUT HELMET

A nice condition ear cut out helmet retaining virtually all its original finish, no rust, complete with its correct inner liner, being the standard three pad liner, all of the pads have their original interior padding, with its original drawstring.  The tongues of one of the pads are complete but have split, leaving the drawstring loose from that pad. As is well known by collectors, all these helmets are one size of ET64 and is stamped to the interior bowl; it is also ink-stamped ‘64’ to the rear inner skirt. The chinstrap has broken away from the helmet and is complete free from the helmet, it is with its original tab, which is very faintly maker marked but clearly stamped ‘1918’, with careful restoration, the strap maybe re-applied.
