GERMAN WWI M.17 CAMOUFLAGE HELMET - COMPLETE WITH LINER AND THE RARE CHINSTRAP

A fabulous condition helmet, maker marked ‘FT64’. The exterior is in a three-colour camouflage of dark maroon, ochre and green, with narrow separation lines. The camouflage finish is virtually complete, with a few minor abrasions to the finish. To the interior the liner system and the strap are untouched, the drawstring is still in place, the light coloured M.17 period liner pads all have their inner pads present. The chinstrap is present and unbroken, but delicacy in handling of this chinstrap is advised. The original collector’s very descriptive label is still attached to the helmet.
