GERMAN WWI M.16 TRENCH HELMET

Shell stamped ‘ET64’ retaining at least 60% of its original apple green finish. All original rivets. Standard heavy, thick leather liner band with its three original pads. All are missing their inner horsehair padding. The tongue from one of the pads is completely missing, and two tongues from another pad are missing the tips. The original drawstring is present, and the original strap clips are still fixed to the posts. Paint stains to the inner where this has obviously been lying in somebody’s garden shed for many years, and paint has been splashed. The owner’s name hand inscribed to the inner rear skirt.
