German WWI M.16 Trench Helmet

A well-preserved ET64 shell retaining approximately 60% of its original apple green finish, with all original rivets intact. Fitted with the standard thick leather liner band and three original pads, though the inner horsehair padding is missing. One pad tongue is entirely gone, and two tongues from another pad are missing their tips. The original drawstring remains in place, with strap clips still fixed to the posts. The interior shows paint stains, likely from decades of storage in a garden shed. The owner’s name is hand-inscribed on the inner rear skirt, adding a personal historic touch.
