GERMAN WWI LEATHER FACED GAS MARK

A very nice condition leather-faced gas mask, rubber ink markings to the field grey paint of the filter, with date 17 and an original owner’s name, head straps all complete, fitted into its carrying tin, to the upper inner lid is the compartment for spare lenses which contains a set of lenses, some minor surface rust staining to the canister. The lower steadying strap without its clip is still fitted to the canister; the long strap is replaced by a bread bag strap, the bread bag strap itself is a difficult piece of equipment to obtain.
