German WWI Iron Cross 1st Class 1914, Large Disc Back

A scarce and desirable variant of the 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class, constructed in a slight convex form. The reverse features the distinctive large white metal concave backing plate, secured by a smaller silver-coloured disc, with the screw top fitted with two small rings. Excellent finish to the obverse, with much of the original frosting still present to the frame.
