German WWI Iron Cross 1st Class, 1914

A superb early-war flat example, possibly silver (though unmarked), displaying excellent overall quality. The reverse is stamped ‘KO’ beneath the hook. The black lacquered centre retains most of its finish, with only slight chipping visible on the central ‘W’. The frame remains bright, preserving nearly all of its original factory-polished finish.
