A fine early example of a turn-of-the-century Hesse infantry enlisted man’s Pickelhaube, dating to around 1900. This slightly taller model features a firm, well-shaped leather body with no abrasions or creasing, and both front and rear peaks remain securely attached.
All brass fittings are consistent in tone, showing a pleasing uniform patina. Fitted with both original non-serrated cockades and an early pattern chinstrap, typical of pre-war construction.
The interior retains its full 11-tongued leather liner, complete with the original drawstring—showing only light signs of age and use. A well-preserved early piece from a lesser-seen German state regiment.
