GERMAN WWI HANSEATIC PRUSSIAN OFFICERS PICKELHAUBE

An all-leather pickelhaube of good proportions, possibly size 57. Excellent skull with some crazing overall. The front and rear peaks are securely attached to the main body. Slightly subdued gilt to the tall spike and spike base. Good gilt to the Prussian crown. Complete with its correct infantry flat chin scales. Fitted with the officer-quality national cockade and the rare single serrated edge stamped cockade of the Hanseatic League, being a red Maltese Cross on a white background. To the interior, the leather sweatband has seen considerable wear and use but is all intact, with its inner silk lining, which is slightly stained and shredded in one part.
