German WWI Deer's Foot Display Piece

A classic First World War German trench display piece, commonly seen in period photographs. Features the distinctive double-headed eagle trademark, S-shaped steel cross guard, and original leather washer fully intact. Housed in its steel military-style scabbard with belt loop; the hilt retaining strap appears never to have been fitted. Some paint loss is visible to the steel scabbard, consistent with age and use.
