German WWI Camouflage M17 Trench Helmet

A superb example featuring an original camouflage finish in the classic three-colour scheme of ochre, green, and dark maroon bordering on brown, separated by thin black lines. Despite some minor losses to the finish, the overall pattern remains clear and vibrant. The helmet is an E.T. 64 shell, retaining much of its original apple green interior finish.

All three original liner pads are present, with one slightly torn from the M17 liner band, though each still has its inner cushion intact. The extremely rare original double buckle chinstrap remains in place, though congealed and fragile, it is complete and original.
