A superb example of a Bavarian State Police pickelhaube, constructed from fibre rather than leather, as seen in some late and post-war production models. The helmet remains in excellent condition throughout, retaining strong form and clean surfaces.
The interior features a light-coloured leather sweatband in outstanding condition, clearly maker-marked by Erel. It is complete with its original artificial silk gold lining, which remains intact. Behind the forehead area, the remains of the original foam cushion are still present, though now hardened with age.
A high-quality and well-preserved example of a Bavarian police pickelhaube.
