GERMAN WWI BAVARIAN CHEVAULEGER ENLISTED RANKS HELMET

A rare helmet in a large size for an enlisted ranks M.15 in a Bavarian Chevauleger Regiment. The leather skull is excellent, with minor crazing; both peaks are firmly attached to the main body, all of the fittings in the chemically patinated field grey, standard Bavarian front plate, original national and Bavarian State cockades with their distinctive square cut front peak, fluted spike, complete with its 8-tongued liner in excellent condition with its original drawstring. Profusely maker-stamped to the upper inner crown and size-stamped ‘57’ ‘1915’ dated, and regimentally marked ‘1.S R.R.’.
