German WWI Bavarian Cavalry Officer’s Pickelhaube

A well-preserved all-leather Bavarian cavalry officer’s Pickelhaube, complete with its original carrying case. This is a smaller size helmet with both front and rear peaks securely attached to the main body. Some congealing is present on both peaks, but overall condition remains strong.

The gilt finish is very good throughout, featuring a large Bavarian front plate with cut-out officer’s crown. It is fitted with correct officer-grade national and state cockades, as well as wartime-period clip-over chin scales.

The interior includes a mid-brown leather liner in excellent condition, complete with its inner light tan silk lining. A fine and complete example, rarely found with its original case.
