German WWI Artillery Pattern Display Piece In British Holster, De-Activated

A very nice condition First World War artillery pattern display piece dated ‘1917’. Retaining good original finish and profusely marked with Imperial German waffenamt stamps, together with British proof marks and stamped as being de-activated to European Union standards. Matching number ‘7054’ to the main body, with other components numbered ‘57’. The magazine is mismatched. The toggle moves fully but does not dry fire. Undamaged cross-hatched wooden grips are present, with correct provision to the rear of the grip for a shoulder stock.
Fitted into its British-made artillery pattern holster, this is clearly a captured example, most likely taken by a British officer who then had a holster made specifically for it. The holster itself is extremely rare. There is a small hole to the upper front section caused by contact with the raised toggle ring, and a further hole to the rear of the front of the closure flap caused by the semi-sharp upper left-hand rear edge of the display piece. The belt loop remains intact, although the stitching to the lower part of the belt loop is frail. All other stitching remains good and strong, with the closure tab present. The holster alone is valued at over £400.
The display piece is de-activated to EU standards and may be exported to countries within the European Union that accept de-activated items. Prospective purchasers should check their own country’s individual import regulations prior to ordering.
