A service-worn example of the sought-after M15 combat tunic, commonly referred to as the "Bluse," worn by enlisted men of the German Army during the First World War. This tunic retains good nap to the field-grey wool overall, with honest signs of wear and age typical of a garment that saw active use.
There is an area of moth damage to the rear of the right sleeve, as worn, with additional minor moth activity in the right armpit and a small nip near the base of the fly front. A few other small moth nips are present but are barely noticeable. The standard apple green collar shows edge wear and a few small nips consistent with field use.
All original buttons remain fitted, with Prussian-pattern buttons on both the breast pockets and the rear belt ramps. The tunic features the standard M15 pattern rear skirt and turnback cuffs. Shoulder boards are white piped, pointed M15 pattern with embroidered "132," indicating Infantry Regiment 132.
The interior is fully lined in brushed grey cotton, standard for the model, with faint, now illegible markings near the interior pocket opening.
A classic and increasingly hard-to-find wartime tunic, showing honest wear and strong originality, representing the typical front-line appearance of the German soldier in the later stages of WWI.
