A well-preserved example of the rare all-tin Prussian enlisted man’s pickelhaube, primarily produced by tin toy manufacturers during the First World War. The skull remains in excellent condition with only four small indentations, and features all-brass fittings including the non-removable spike. As is often seen with these tin examples, there is a small dent to the spike’s tip.

The Prussian plate retains a fine appearance, with only slight rust bleed around its crown and at the tip of the right wing. Both original state and national cockades are present, along with the original leather chinstrap.

The interior retains its complete mid-tan leather liner, showing some water staining, and the felt inner crown lining remains intact. Faint traces of a Berlin maker’s mark can be seen stencilled to the interior front peak. An excellent example of this scarce wartime economy model.
