German WWI All Leather Face Gas Mask

A scarce all-leather German WWI gas mask in very good condition. The filter retains its field grey finish and is clearly dated ‘23rd March 1918’. The eyepieces remain excellent, with all original elasticated canvas head straps intact. Housed in its original tin, which retains a good amount of its original paint finish, along with the lower half of the carrying strap. A fine and complete example of a late-war German gas mask.
