German WWI 1st or 3rd Guard Ulhan Regiment Officers Helmet Plate

A very scarce helmet plate for Ulhan officers, with the majority of the matte silver finish in the lower field intact and good frosted detail on the highlights. The central guard star has a slight knock, causing a 1 cm section of white enamel to be missing beneath the scroll reading “Suum Cuique.” All other enamel, including red and green on the lower wreath and the black enamel on the central eagle, is complete. The threaded screws on the reverse for fitting to a helmet are all present. A rare and high-quality example.
