GERMAN SOUTH WEST AFRICA DISPLAY PIECE

A very nice example of the M.1871-84 bayonet hilt with a presentation blade by WKC for South West Africa. On one side, the side profile head of the Kaiser with, in German, ‘In Memory of my Service Time.’ On the face side, the wording ‘Deutsche-Sud-West Afrika’ is subdued blue with floriate designs surrounding the wording. Good wood grips. Slight lifting of plating to the pommel hilt and cross guard. Fitted into its correct leather and nickel-plated scabbard.
