GERMAN M.35 DOUBLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET

A nice condition liner size ‘55’ M.35 double decal combat helmet that, under the 1940 regulations, has been over-painted and hidden the national tricolour. Over the years, the paint has cracked over the transfer, and the colours can clearly be seen below. The army decal is good and clear. Some minor paint losses, but a good 1940 addition over the early apple green. The paint has virtually removed itself from the three liner retaining studs. To the interior, the size 55 liner is all complete, good and supple, but with evidence of much storage and a certain amount of wear and use, with its original drawstring, its standard aluminium liner band and its chinstrap, which is all complete but dry. The shell size was obscured by the 1940 overpaint.
