GERMAN FRANCO PRUSSIAN WAR IRON CROSS 2ND CLASS 1870 WITH 25 YEAR OAK LEAF

Standard pattern with two flat clips attaching the oak leaf to the totally original faded ribbon; very slight wear to the paint in the centre of the award. See Nimmergut Deutsche Ordnung and Ehrenzeichen Volume 2 page 1049 No.2540 for this variant, having a small ring at the oak leaf's base, which fits into the standard ring on the top arm of the cross; the standard ribbon ring is fitted to another small ring on the upper part of the oak leaves.
