GERMAN CROAT WWII CROATIAN KNIGHTS CROSS WITH SWORDS OF THE ORDER OF KING ZVONIMIR 1ST CLASS

This is the Croatian version of the German Knight's Cross to the Iron Cross and was widely awarded to Waffen SS officers fighting against Communist Partisans in Yugoslavia. Excellent quality with gold-plated edges and white enamel centre. Long length of original neck ribbon, the mount for the ribbon is a period replacement, fitted to facilitate its wear around the neck, slight wear to ribbon.
