GERMAN COLONIAL TROOPS LEATHER EQUIPMENT SET

A very scarce set of leather equipment uniquely issued to members of the colonial troops for the German colonies. The leather is soft and supple, complete with its cross straps, riveted bayonet frog. Faint remains of a station issue stamp to one of the shoulder straps, but too faint to read. All of the closure caps for the ammunition pouches are in place, with the orange coloured cap of one of the compartments missing. All of the rivets holding the bayonet frog to the main belt are good and strong with its single-pronged, heavy-duty nickel buckle.
