French WWII Bodyguard of Marshall Pétain Steel Helmet

An exceptionally rare French helmet dating from the mid-1940s, issued following the establishment of the Vichy Government. This helmet was specifically used by the bodyguard unit of Marshal Pétain and is based on the 1935 Motorised Corps design. The shell is painted deep black on the exterior with a contrasting dark blue interior. It is complete with its original, fully authenticated Marshall Pétain bodyguard helmet plate. While reproductions exist, this example is confirmed entirely genuine.
