FRENCH WWI CHASSEURS HELMET

A very nice condition French Chasseurs helmet of World War I, standard Adrian pattern, with a very good dark shade of horizon blue finish to the skull, some minor abrasions, complete with its six-tongued leather liner, ink-stamped 56 to the inner skull, an original owner's name hand-etched into the rear skirt, indicating the rank of lieutenant, the original chinstrap is present however the buckle is missing and that has been snapped away at one side, attached to the helmet is the very good typed descriptive label of the helmet by the previous owner.
