FRENCH WWI ACIER TROMPE CHASSEUR OFFICERS HELMET

The rare manufacturer known as the Acier Trompe helmet was a totally private manufacturer of Adrian helmets; they always had a distinctive standard leather 8-tongued liner with gold edging. Good paint finish, complete with its unique Acier Trompe Chasseur bugle horn badge without RF, and its officer's leather strap. One minor indentation to the right of the front plate otherwise, excellent condition overall. A rare helmet for the French collector.
