A WWI Canadian Oliver pattern leather equipment set, comprising reproduction and original parts. The ammunition pouches, both of which are fine original examples, each dated ‘1916’, the leatherwork is good and strong with brass fittings all in place, one is marked with the name ‘Private Baldock 185 Battalion 874753’. Private Baldock embarked for Europe in October 1916 with the 184th OS Battalion. He would go on to serve with the Canadian Machine Gun Corps and was wounded on the 16th October 1918. The belt is very faintly dated ‘1914’ on the tongue and is in good condition. The strap and water bottle cradles are very good copies. A nice set overall, good basis for further completion.
