A well-worn and characterful example of the 1902 pattern service dress tunic as issued to Canadian enlisted troops during the First World War. This example is Montréal maker stamped and features a skeleton lining in olive drab, consistent with wartime manufacture and use.
The tunic shows extensive wear from service, with light nicks to the cloth but no moth damage. Each shoulder board has two small holes where brass shoulder titles were once fitted. All buttons are of the British general service pattern, with several Canadian-marked examples found loose within a pocket.
Of note, this tunic was previously held in the inventory of a California theatrical film company, with their inked-out stampings still faintly visible on the interior. A solid and honest example of a Canadian WWI combat tunic, showing true service use with all the right details.
