Bulgarian WWII Headdress

A rare Bulgarian General’s fur cap from WWII, formerly part of a very fine Bulgarian WWI and WWII collection sold at auction in Central Europe. The cap features good white fur to the body, a red cloth top with gold crossed tress, and a high-quality enameled star badge. Interior with simple cotton lining and leather sweatband. One small moth hole present at the front of the red cloth upper body. Bulgaria remained neutral until March 1941, later allying with the Axis until September 1944, when it reached an agreement with the Allies.
