Bulgaria WWII High-Ranking Officers Combat Tunic

A rare Bulgarian high-ranking officers four-pocket combat tunic from World War II. Constructed in deep olive drab, the tunic features Austro-Hungarian style pocket flaps and composition buttons decorated with the Bulgarian Lion. The collar is a lighter olive green, fitted with officers’ collar patches.

This tunic comes from a fine Central European collection of Bulgarian WWI and WWII uniforms recently sold at auction. Bulgaria remained neutral until March 1941, entering the Axis alliance until September 1944, when it switched allegiance to the Allies.
