BRITISH WWII TANK CORPS OFFICERS VISOR CAP

A nice condition, small size, possibly size 55, officers' visor cap, complete with its original untouched Tank Corps badge, which has always been fitted to the hat. No moth damage anywhere, complete with its standard WWII-style pattern strap. Universal pattern coat of arms side buttons. Complete with its undamaged leather liner. The waterproof material on the upper inner crown is partly shredded. Very unusually, this cap is an army issue officers' cap, inside the sweatband it is marked ‘WD’ broad arrow with the letter ‘J’ over numbers ‘282’, most officers in both world wars purchased their own uniform; only officers with a substantially smaller income were offered issue material.
